What I really like is the speed at which he works, and that he tests things a lot — if something isn't going to plan he'll retest and look at the data, but he also has a very creative side that offers something valuable to the strategy.

Intro

This is the creative half of the IKIGAI story. The full engine — the value ladder, the offer design, the funnel work — lives in its own case. This one goes deep on the part that moved the numbers most: the creative. Because in premium acquisition, the creative isn't decoration on top of the strategy. Itisthe strategy, executed at the only place the customer actually sees it.

When we took over, IKIGAI's high-ticket teacher-training ad was returning$0.41 on the dollar— a feature-list video asking a cold audience to buy. We rebuilt it into an outcome-led, static-first creative that matched its conversion event to its price point. The high-ticket rung now runs at63× ROAS, and the new member introduction offer the creative system feeds clears12.7×— all on premium positioning, with zero discount language anywhere.

The principles we rebuilt the creative on.

Four rules drove every ad. They're why a premium brand could scale on paid without ever reaching for a discount.

  1. Sell the outcome, not the feature list. The old creative announced what you'd study. The new creative sells what you'd become — with proof and scarcity up front, not buried at the end.
  2. Match the conversion event to the price point. You don't ask a cold audience to buy a high-ticket program. A soft Completed Registration for high-ticket, a direct trial for the introduction offer — the ask fits the readiness.
  3. Static-first: the whole pitch in two seconds. The strongest performers absorbed the entire offer at a glance. Motion earns its place only when it beats the static, not by default.
  4. Hold premium positioning in every frame. No discount language, anywhere. The creative filters for the value-aligned member who converts and climbs — not the bargain-hunter who churns.
“
The test is the strategy, not an afterthought. We don't guess which creative wins — we ship variants, let the data decide, and concentrate budget on what earns it. A creative that loses money is only wasted if you keep funding it.

Top of the ladder

"Reset, reconnect, retreat" — premium seasonal programs for committed members.

The hooks we tested — and what won.

Every rung got its own angle. We shipped variants, read the data, and graduated the winners into the always-on set.

A note on what's shown: this is the high-level cut. The working breakdown is roughly 10× more nuanced — each angle splits by audience temperature, studio, format, and placement, with a separate variant and conversion event per cell. The table below is the floor of the work, not the ceiling.

AngleOld creativeWhat we shipped instead
High-ticketTeacher training"TTC are back!" — a feature-list video, cold purchase ask"Become a Certified Yoga Teacher" — outcome + faculty + limited seats, registration event. 0.41× → 63× rung.

Every creative and offer earned its place — or got cut.

The test is the strategy. We ran creatives and offers as experiments and let the data decide which scaled, which evolved, and which died — because knowing what to stop is half the system.

Six numbers that show the creative carrying the ladder — on premium positioning, with no discount language anywhere.

12.7×ROAS on the introduction-offer creative
15.17%Landing-page-to-purchase on the intro
1.68%CTR on the rebuilt high-ticket static
$0Discount language used, anywhere

Honesty note: the 0.41×→63× turnaround compares two creatives that optimised for different conversion events and ran in different currencies — so it isn't a clean one-to-one. The Reset Bundle is in the results on purpose: a discount-led offer we tested and killed at 1.34×. What holds across all of it is the discipline — outcome-led, static-first, premium, and an engine built to compound across IKIGAI's slow and peak seasons rather than spike once.

What the IKIGAI rebuild taught us about premium creative.

  1. The conversion event is part of the creative. — The losing ad asked a cold audience to buy a high-ticket program. The winner asked for a registration. Same product, same audience, different ask — and the rung went from $0.41 on the dollar to 63× ROAS. Designing the creative without designing the ask is designing half an ad.
  2. Sell the outcome; put the proof up front. — "Become a certified teacher" beats "courses are back" because it sells the transformation, not the curriculum. Faculty and limited seats belong in the first two seconds, not the last. A feature list is a brochure; an outcome with proof is an ad.
  3. Static-first — make motion earn its place. — The strongest performers absorbed the whole pitch at a glance. Video isn't a default; it's a format that has to beat the static to justify the production cost. Most of the time, the two-second static won.
  4. Premium creative never discounts — it filters. — No discount language in any frame. That's not a brand-guideline nicety; it's targeting. A discount creative fills the studio with people who leave when the deal does. A premium, outcome-led creative filters for the member who converts and climbs the ladder.

The rest of the IKIGAI engagement.

The creative is one of four lenses on the same engagement. The Performance Marketing cut covers the media that places these creatives; the Funnel & CRO cut covers the pages they point to; the Data & Analytics cut covers the measurement that proved the 0.41× → 63× turnaround.

IKIGAI's creative now sells the outcome instead of announcing the feature — a high-ticket rung rebuilt from $0.41 on the dollar to 63× ROAS, an introduction offer at 12.7×, and not a single discount in sight.

The creative system feeds the ladder, the ladder carries the margin, and every variant earns its budget or gets cut. See how the creative plugs into the full acquisition engine — the value ladder, the offer design, and the funnel work — in the companion case.

Who was on the creative

A creative-led pod.

A creative director and design team driving the angle and format work, a Meta buyer running the tests across three studios, and the data lead measuring each creative on its own ROAS.

Dikmas Putra
Creative Director

On this engagement: Led the creative rebuild — reframed every rung from feature-list to outcome-led, matched the conversion event to the price point, and took the high-ticket creative from $0.41 on the dollar to 63× ROAS.

Phebe
Motion & Static Designer

On this engagement: Produced the static-first builds that absorbed the whole pitch in two seconds, plus the variant sets tested across the three branches — and the motion cuts that had to beat the static to ship.

Claudia
Copy & Angle

On this engagement: Wrote the hooks and angles — outcome over feature, proof and scarcity up front — and held the line on premium, no-discount language across every variant.

Anna Tan
Senior Meta Ads Buyer

On this engagement: Ran the A/B program across all three studios — shipped the variants, concentrated budget on winners, matched each creative to its conversion event, and cut the offers that collapsed.

Ridho Wahyu
Data & Analytics Lead

On this engagement: Measured every creative on its own ROAS and conversion event — the scoreboard that made "which creative wins" a number, not an opinion, and proved the 0.41× → 63× turnaround.

Kevin Cho
Co-Founder · Growth Strategy

On this engagement: Set the premium, no-discount principle and tied the creative system to the value ladder — so each creative had a rung to serve and a conversion event to earn.

More wins, with the numbers behind them.
