Why I started GTMLab.

Before GTMLab I was three things. An investment banker at Oppenheimer (NYSE: OPY). A Venture Capital Partnerat Zeroth.ai, a SoftBank-backed AI fund — where I wrote ~$500K cheques into 50+ AI startups ↗TechCrunch. And for four years, a founder — co-founding Peebato $20M+ in revenue across 6 countries, with $10M raised from Y Combinator, Peak XV, and Headline ↗TechCrunch. Forbes 30 Under 30, retail & e‑commerce ↗Forbes.

From the founder seat at Peeba, I watched every agency we hired do the same thing — sell senior pitches, ship junior execution, hide behind impressions, and cash retainers for work that didn't move the number on our P&L. I kept thinking the same thought: this can't be how the discipline is supposed to work.Someone with operator scars should run a paid growth firm — and run it the way the work actually demands.

GTMLab is that firm. We're bootstrapped on purpose. We staff seniors-only because the work demands it. We wire data, AI, and consulting into every account because half-measures don't compound. And we tell clients no when we can't move the needle — because the alternative is the agency model I left behind. That's the company I built. If it sounds like the one you'd want on your account, let's talk.

The full story

Three chapters that built GTMLab.

Chapter 012015 — 2019

Investment banking, then venture capital.

I started my career in M&A as an investment banker at Oppenheimer (NYSE: OPY). I then moved into venture capital as a Partner at Zeroth.ai— a SoftBank-backed fund focused on AI startups around the world — where I wrote ~$500K cheques to 50+ founders across multiple geographies.

What I learned: how investors actually evaluate growth. What makes a metric defensible under scrutiny. What makes one fall apart on the second slide. The exposure to fifty go-to-market motions across categories became the foundation everything since has been built on.

Chapter 022020 — 2024

Peeba — four years in the founder's seat.

I co-founded Peebato rebuild cross-border wholesale for emerging brands. I self-taught the software engineering, product, and design needed to launch — then spent four years running the GTM strategy across launches, market expansions, and channel builds.

Peeba scaled to $20M+ in revenue, opened offices in 6 countries, and raised $10M USD from Y Combinator, Peak XV, Headline, and global investors. I made the Forbes 30 Under 30list in retail & e-commerce. The lessons accumulated weren't theoretical — they were the founder-seat scars of figuring out distribution, attribution, hiring, and channel mix in real time, at scale.

Chapter 032024 — present

GTMLab — accidental, then deliberate.

In 2024, I started helping a couple of founder friends with their GTM strategy. Word travelled. Referrals piled up. The demand quickly outgrew what one operator could carry on the side.

So GTMLab was founded — a deliberately-staffed company built to solve clients' go-to-market problems at scale. No external funding. 100 specialists on the bench today, spanning paid media, performance creative, funnel engineering, data infrastructure, and consulting. The unifying mandate: make revenue predictable through paid growth, end-to-end, for every account we run.

The name isn't decoration. It's a Lab because we run experiments every day, against real budgets, with real consequences. Winning in paid ads is fundamentally a question of how well you experiment — so we built the team for that.

Operations. Execution. Outcomes.

Before GTMLab, my career was managing capital — over $300M USD in AUM at one of Indonesia's largest hedge funds, after early years in investment banking. That seat trains you in three things and three things only: every position measured, every thesis defensible, every dollar tracked. That is the discipline I bring to every account we run.

Once we work together, I sit on your side of the table and treat your P&L the way I'd treat my own. We don't hand accounts off to juniors after the pitch. Before I architect the strategy or touch a dollar of budget, I audit the whole engine — where the spend leaks, where the tracking quietly lies to you, which channel is really carrying the rest. Then I build the right team around that read: the growth strategist, the performance marketers, the creative pod, the funnel engineers, the data team — every one of them pointed at your number. Every dollar traces to a real outcome, measured against revenue, not vanity metrics.

That discipline shows up in the work. I helped Bluuu, a TripAdvisor top-20 global attraction, stand up a new growth channel returning over 40×. I tripled Lion Parcel's monthly agent acquisition, took Safari Group from 0 to 1 in a market they'd never sold into, and ran Panorama Group's new expo — surpassing target on ticket sales by 250%. Different industries, different stages, 0-to-1 to 10-to-100 — one standard every time: aligned with the founders, accountable for every dollar, allergic to anything that doesn't compound. Everything is business and data. That's how outcomes compound.

A 100-person bench, hired against the same operator-grade bar.

Four disciplines, no junior layer. Every person on the floor has shipped real growth at a real company before they shipped here — and the resumes show it.

01Performance MarketingSenior channel specialists per platform — Meta, Google, TikTok, programmatic. They've personally managed accounts at six-figure monthly spend.
02Performance CreativeBrief writers, art directors, motion designers, editors. Trained to ship variants weekly, not quarterly.
03Engineering & TrackingServer-side tracking, CAPI, attribution pipelines, internal tooling. The infrastructure that makes the math defensible.
04Data & AnalyticsBI dashboards, AI signal monitoring, statistical analysis. The team that turns spend into a number you can trust.

[02]Mission—What we exist to do

Become the #1 digital marketing agency by blending data, AI, and consulting into every day.

We exist to make revenue predictable for our clients through paid growth.

Traditional agency models can't deliver that. They run on guesswork, they staff with juniors, and they hide behind vanity metrics. We took the opposite bet — data-led, AI-wired, consulting-grade, every day.
01 · Data-ledEvery recommendation traces back to a number we can show you in a dashboard. The math runs first; the strategy follows.
02 · AI-wiredKevin's investing background was in AI. We use that lens to wire AI into every workflow — named agents that watch signal 24/7, generate briefs from winning patterns, and filter dud variants before launch.
03 · Consulting-gradeSenior operators on every account. No junior layer. We ship strategies and insights traditional teams are miles away from reaching.
[03]Why a Lab—The metaphor, made literal

Winning in paid ads is fundamentally a question of how well you experiment.

Most agencies run two campaigns a quarter and call it strategy. We run experiments every day, against real budgets, with real consequences. Hooks. Variants. Audience cuts. Funnel changes. Channel sequences. The whole pod is structured around making that velocity defensible. That's why we call it a Lab.

100 specialists on the bench — every one of them shipped before they shipped here.Strategy, paid media, creative, funnel, data & analytics · join the bench →

Always experimenting

Controlled tests run continuously. Every week, hooks tested, variants killed, scale rotated. The lab principle: you can't optimise what you haven't tested.

AI-wired across every workflow

Signal watches every metric. Brief generates from pattern history. Critique filters dud variants before launch. Funnel Watch catches drift in hours, not weeks. Real systems — not "AI-powered" marketing copy.

Specialists, not generalists

Paid ads is not a one-person job. We have specialists for paid media per platform, performance creative, funnel engineering, data infrastructure, and GTM consulting — 100 humans focused on one outcome.

Pro-athlete team

Pro-athlete operating standards. We don't settle for good enough. The team trains, ships, reviews, ships again. Every account is run by someone who treats it like their reputation depends on it — because it does.

Live signal, 24/7

The systems we build keep running while your team sleeps. Drift surfaces in hours. Fatigue catches before the dashboard reads it. The advantage is not having to wait for Monday to know what happened Friday.

Accountable to one number

Tracked revenue. Not impressions. Not sessions. Not "estimated reach." Every dollar of spend wired end-to-end so leadership and the marketing lead are reading the same dashboard.

[04]Values—The four things we don't compromise on

Four operating principles that pre-date every client decision.

01

We are experimental

Controlled experiments are the discipline. We're not afraid to try new things, push the boundary, run a test the textbook says will fail. Winning in paid ads is fundamentally about running experiments extremely well — so we built a team that does it constantly.

02

We build the best

Pro-athlete mentality. We don't settle for "good enough" on anything. We hire, train, and develop the best operators on the bench — and we keep every account staffed with them. Long-term wins beat short-term metrics.

03

We are accountable

We're selective about the projects we take on. We pursue projects we have a real chance of winning, and projects that genuinely challenge us. If we don't think we can move the needle, we say so — before the contract is signed.

04

We are client-obsessed

From the first conversation, you'll know we've got your back. We deliberately keep our client list limited — because reputation comes from delivering transformational results, not from chasing logo counts. We give every account our all.

[05]Open roles—Currently hiring

Build with us.

We hire operators with the kind of credentials most consultants don't have. If you've shipped real growth at a real company and you're bored of slide decks, the bench is open.
