Part of the Central Wellness series · one client, three lensesYou're reading the Performance Creative lens. Central Wellness was a single engagement we tell three ways — same client, three disciplines, plus the overview. Read the rest in any order: Overview, Performance Marketing, and Funnel & CRO.
We work with Central Wellness, a Hong Kong integrated wellness clinic— a multi-disciplinary practice in the city's Central district treating patients across six-plus distinct services: osteopathy, psychology, physiotherapy, pre and post-natal care, women's health, and functional medicine. A clinic like this doesn't really sell leads — it sells practitioner hours. The whole game is utilisation: keeping every practitioner's calendar full, and the high-value ones full first.
This page is the Performance Creative lens: the message itself — why one clinic-level ad can't move six different patients, and how a distinct message per discipline, led with clinical authority, earned more of the right clicks. The channels that carried it live in Performance Marketing; the page each click lands on lives in Funnel & CRO.
Meet Central Wellness.
Central Wellness is an integrated wellness clinic in Hong Kong's Central district — a single practice spanning a wide range of disciplines, from manual therapies like osteopathy and physiotherapy to psychology, women's health, and functional medicine. The patients could not be more different: someone in acute back pain looking for an osteopath, an expecting mother seeking pre-natal care, and a person considering therapy are three separate people, with three separate worries, in three separate frames of mind.
The gap was the message, not demand. A single clinic-level ad — "your wellness, our care" — speaks to none of them in particular, and a patient in pain scrolling past doesn't recognise themselves in it. The opportunity was to stop advertising the clinic and start speaking to each patient's actual concern, with the credibility a health decision demands.
The principles we built the creative on.
- Speak to the patient, not the clinic. A patient recognises their own problem, not a clinic's brand line. Each message leads with the condition and the relief, so the right person stops scrolling.
- One message per discipline. An osteopathy patient, a psychology patient, and a pre/post-natal patient are in different emotional states — each gets its own creative, not a single clinic ad averaged across all of them.
- Lead with clinical authority. A health decision needs credibility, not a tagline. Practitioner expertise, the treatment explained, and patient reassurance do the persuading.
- Weight the creative to value. The high-value disciplines — osteopathy and the recurring treatment plans — get the most creative attention, because that's where filling the calendar is worth most.
The message, per discipline, from clinic ad to patient message
A sample of the creative angle for each patient — the concern it speaks to and the proof that carries it. This is the high-level cut. The working build is roughly 10× more nuanced — each angle splits by patient state, funnel stage, and format, with its own variant.
Educational Talking-head
Frames the whole category as treating symptoms while this clinic treats the cause, giving the viewer a reason this one is different.
Educational Talking-head
Names the self-treatment making it worse, then points to a better approach.
Trust Building Talking-head
Moves from one credible practitioner to a clinic of seven, so individual trust scales into institutional proof in a single beat.
Results — the creative system.
Reported in relative terms and ratios.
Honest read: creative is one lever of a value-led engine — the per-discipline message earned more of the right clicks, but the bidding, the landing pages, and the practitioners all share the result. A health decision is considered, so the creative's job is recognition and credibility, not a hard sell; the booking proves out at the clinic.
What this taught us about healthcare creative.
- Lead with the patient, not the clinic. — A patient recognises their own condition, not a brand line. The message has to name the problem they're searching for.
- One message can't serve six disciplines. — An osteopathy patient and a psychology patient are in different states. A creative per discipline converts each far better than one averaged across all.
- Health decisions need authority. — Credibility — the practitioner, the method, the reassurance — persuades where a tagline doesn't. Clinical authority is the angle.
- Put the creative effort where the value is. — Weighting the most attention to the high-value disciplines is what turned a creative refresh into 3× osteopathy leads and a 230% lift in high-value bookings.
One clinic ad became a message per discipline, led with clinical authority .
Each patient now meets a message built for their concern, weighted to the disciplines worth most. The channels that carried it and the page each click lands on are the other two lenses.
